With router, connects from PC to multiple networks, but Gateway doesn’t connect to internet?

I have a Linksys Etherfast Cable/DSL Router. It connects fine when the router isn’t plugged in, but when it is plugged in, it says that there is no internet connection. I looked at the connection map and it says that the PC goes to multiple networks, but not from the Gateway to the internet. I have tried resetting and re-connecting everything, but it still doesn’t work. It did work before.

Has this router ever worked? Also, is this a modem/router all in one. If it is, you should contact your ISP (if cable) and tell them your MAC address, serial number, and make/model or you should get into the modem’s settings (if DSL) and enter your username and password that the ISP gave you.

If it is not a modem/router in one device, you can try the factory reset (tiny button on back.) Another thing to try is to update the firmware of the device.
