Initial Tranining for Surface Warfare Officer after Navy OCS?

I was wondering what kind of training committment I might be looking at if I select SWO as my designator after OCS. I have been reading that it is like 2.5 years on your first ship and 1.5 on your second.

you will do Back to back sea tours of approximately 2-3 years each. you have to get fully Qual’d within 2 years of arriving at your first duty station. you will rotate betweenmany departments during that time frame.

Sea duty means the duty station is the ship. you can expect on average you will be underway and away from Home port about 75% of the time.

Leave can be taken when not deployed or gearing up for deployment, do not expect to ever be able to take more than 2 weeks running.
